What recession? Burberry is opening two new stores in Midtown today, just in time for holiday shopping. The “London” shop has a veddy, veddy traditional feel. The “Brit” shop is more like a warehouse ambiance. Both will sell you the famous Burberry raincoat, umbrellas and other accessories and clothing, much of it in the iconic Burberry plaid.
The new shops are at 444 Madison Ave. at 50th St., and they are in addition to the Burberry flagship at 9 East 57th St. and Burberry Soho at 131 Spring St. All are open daily, although hours vary.
